If you know me, you know that I love where I’m from. My backyard at the outskirts of my small Midwestern town fostered a love of exploration and adventure. Many days I’d lose track of time enjoying the great natural design surrounding me. I’d often come home with dirty fingernails, filthy jeans, and a big smile on my face. There’s something relieving in knowing the world is bigger and more complex than me.
These days I’m still exploring and getting my clothes dirtied, (sadly, in the literal sense not often enough)! Six years of freelance work, academic study, and a few years in the professional world have taught me a little about a lot of things, among them print design, web development, interaction design, and branding. However, the most important thing I have learned is the ability for design to affect meaningful and positive change in the world in ever-increasing ways.
I received a BA in Studio Art from Wheaton College with a concentration in photography and graphic design, and recently earned an MFA in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia. Currently I am taking on limited freelance work. If you’re interested in working together, shoot me a note!
I’d love to hear from you!
